Physical Fusion would like to formally congratulate Anthony Louis in being nominated for the Hobey Baker Award.
The Hobey Baker Memorial Award is an annual award given to the top NCAA men’s hockey player. The award is named after Hobey Baker, a hockey player and World War I veteran. Baker is often regarded as the first great American hockey player. The award recognizes the same characteristics embodied by Hobey during his lifetime: strength of character, sportsmanship, academic achievement, as well as excellence on the ice — It is college hockey’s most prestigious award.
Anthony Louis has been playing hockey ever since he could walk. He is a humble, kind, and dedicated athlete who has played for Team Illinois, the USA Development Team, and the Miami Redhawks. Currently, Anthony is the assistant captain for the Miami Redhawks and a top prospect under the Chicago Blackhawks organization. This season, Anthony has lead his team as their all-star forward, becoming category leader in shots, goals, and assists. Anthony focuses on more than just hockey, however; he also takes time to give back to his fans and community. Recently, Anthony and his team participated in a volunteer event where they helped serve patrons dinner at Rico’s Ristorante. With all the hard work that he does, it’s clear to see why Anthony has earned his nomination.
Each year, multiple college athletes are nominated for the Hobey Baker Award. While each nominee is certainly impressive, there can only be one true winner.
